Prayer, Perfection, and Personal Experiences Prayer assumes you can change the future, but prayer to an all-knowing all-perfect deity, by definition, can change nothing, as you are praying to a do-nothing deity. And a do-nothing deity, by definition, does nothing, which rules out personal miracles for his followers.
Mark Smith spent twenty years as a fundamentalist Christian, but intense Bible study resulted in him becoming a full-bore Atheist. Via his website JCnot4me.com and free handouts and public debates he now “evangelizes” for the side he once fought against. He works as a mechanical engineer, a profession (unlike the ministry) which is grounded in reality.
